Everyday objects that serve a purpose are frequently overlooked, with the attention going to their purpose, rather than the item itself.
Through a poster (left), I decided to pay homage to the item that allowed me to enjoy the simple pleasure of music through the years, something that helped me get through the best and the worst of times.
The design shows an illustration of my hand gripping the speaker, showing the power it gives the user.
The abstract shapes visually embody various styles of music, with each layer representing a different genre. This is achieved through color, shape, style, and pattern, translating into frequency, rhythm, time period, and content.
Expository information is subtly included in the bottom right of the design, to give credit to the company, year created, and people leading the item’s production.
