The current design lacks the vibrant accessibility needed to interest wine-drinkers. The flavor profiles of the wine are strong yet simple, so the packaging should reflect this too.

Simple repeating lines were a versatile element, evocative of the repeating vine rows in vineyards while drawing attention to the wine type. These lines were used as a fine detail present on the capsule's design.

California-born sans-serif typeface Noah was also used to reflect the wine's California origin.
